We are a year-round intervention program which focuses on academic enrichment and character development for at-risk children, helping them develop to become more successful in school and life.
Thumbs Up Children's Educational Center provides holistic, social, academic and emotional support and guidance to children of at-risk families living below the poverty level.
We are an independently-operated 501(c)3 non-profit agency serving low-income families and children living North of the Broad River in
Beaufort County, South Carolina.
We promote scholarship, good character, citizenship, and leadership in children and families, with the goal of inspiring them to lead a more positive and productive life.
We support disadvantaged children and families of all ethnic backgrounds through direct action to improve their opportunity to live past poverty.
Academic Enrichment
We offer a range of academic support services, including tutoring, homework assistance, and specialized workshops. Our experienced educators are dedicated to helping students excel in their studies and develop a lifelong love of learning.
Life Skills & Leadership
We focus on developing essential life skills and leadership qualities in our students. Through workshops, mentorship, and community service projects, we aim to cultivate responsible, confident, and compassionate individuals.
Creative Arts
Creativity is at the heart of everything we do. Our arts programs include visual arts, music, drama, and dance, providing students with the opportunity to express themselves and explore their artistic talents.

Digital Media & Entrepreneurship
In partnership with the Beaufort County Black Chamber of Commerce, we offer a unique program that teaches youth video arts and entrepreneurship within the digital media industry. Students gain hands-on experience and learn valuable skills that prepare them for future careers.
